The Vibrance of Shibuya

Shibuya is full of energy and is one of the busiest locations in Tokyo. Spending a day there is a beautiful experience.  I worked there for several years in the early 2000s and was always mesmerized by the vibrance of Shibuya.

Recently, I had the opportunity to lead several workshops on the busy streets, leaving little time for myself to shoot. So, I decided to spend the next day off in Shibuya doing some new street photography. It was so much fun.

This was a great decision, as I experienced the awe you feel when seeing something spectacular for the first time. I shot double the number of exposures I would typically take, and I was very happy with the results.  

The most significant result was the experience of being surrounded by such a vibrant city. It filled my soul with goodness. Next came the photography; there was so much to see and shoot. Finally, the keepers from my day off in Shibuya were like cherries on a grand sundae.   

My favourite image is the one I took of myself. I am happy in my element and delighted to share with you the beauty and vibrance of Shibuya.
